Clerk to the Local Governing Body
Based from: All Saints Axminster CofE Primary School, Beer CofE Primary School and some home working
Contract Term: Part time, Permanent
Salary: SC4 SCP 10-13 from £12.24 an hour (£23,620 - £24,948 FTE)
Hours: 8 – 10 hours per week. 40 weeks per year

St Christopher’s Multi Academy Trust is a growing family of church and community primary schools across Devon, Plymouth and Torbay Local authorities. All Saints Axminster CofE Primary School and Beer CofE Primary School are seeking a Clerk position for their governing body. This is an exciting opportunity for someone that wants to play a meaningful and supportive role in the administration of the school’s local governing body, or to re-join a school environment. In this role, you’ll be working as part of team of Clerk’s across the Trust and supported with excellent CPD opportunities.
We are seeking to recruit a professional and enthusiastic person who has effective ICT skills, excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, along with initiative and enthusiasm. Supported and trained by the Trust, you will work at the direction of the Headteacher and Chair of Governors, providing support to the governing body based under the Trust’s LGB Handbook. You’ll be given opportunities to seek professional training, including a qualification in Professional Clerking. You’ll have relevant experience and transferable skills to provide an efficient and professional service to a Local Governing Body, including minute taking, engaging in research of government guidance and policy, formation of agendas, circulation of papers and providing advice and guidance on procedural matters.
