We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our collaborative academy, which is committed to developing our great team, centred around One family: we CARE (Curious, Accepting, Resilient and Equitable). The St. Edward’s family is committed to the flourishing of every individual child, who feels heard, has a sense of belonging and is included. We want all our children to feel welcome, safe curious and supported no matter what challenges they face.
You will have had previous experience in working with children in a similar setting and be able to effectively communicate with adults and children alike. Through working in partnership with the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom you will assist pupils to learn and reach their full potential. If you have high expectations and an understanding of behaviour of all pupils and can create and maintain a purposeful learning environment, we would welcome your application to be part of our successful and hardworking team.
St Edward’s is a truly wonderful place to work with children who are an absolute delight, and they have an incredibly supportive community. The family ethos of the school is second to none and this is frequently commented on by parents and visitors to the school. The staff team is dedicated and committed to developing the knowledge, skills, attitudes and understanding which will enable the children to enjoy learning, achieve success and to feel contented and fulfilled across the curriculum. The staff ensure, within their journey at the school, that the children learn about and have confidence in themselves as learners where they are encouraged to hold high aspirations for their future.
Please apply using the button at the top of this page by Friday 8th December at 9am. Interviews are scheduled for Tuesday 12th December.
Please note it is our process to apply for references for shortlisted applicants and to complete online searches in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance, for all shortlisted applicants. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS Disclosure is required for this post.
