The Role

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Level 2 SEN Teaching Assistant to join our collaborative academy, which is dedicated to developing our great team, centred around humility and respect. This role will be supporting in Eden Room- our new and extremely exciting inclusion provision- which we have established to support pupils with Communication Interaction Needs. The provision is led by a very experienced inclusion teacher and currently supports a small group of children with Autism and other Communicating interaction needs. We are looking for someone who can work across our full age range (2-11) and in particular, someone with experience of/or an interest in working with pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition or other complex communication difficulties. 

 

As an experienced practitioner, you will be able to support in the planning and assessment of children. You will know the value of high-quality adult interactions and put the development of language and social and emotional development at the heart of all that you do. You won’t be frightened to roll up your sleeves and will enjoy developing playful and imaginative experiences for our pupils.  

 

At St Peter’s Primary there is a real sense of community between the school, the surrounding area and St Peter's Church. A strength of our school is its size: we are a small school with currently 156 children on roll, including a nursery. It means we know all our children and families well and can make sure that we do our best to develop their learning in a happy, safe, secure and values - respecting environment.
