The Role

2 x Level 2 Teaching Assistants

 

St Matthew’s Primary and Nursery Academy, Derriford  

Contract Term: Permanent

Hours: Post 1 – 30 hour per week. Post 2 - 32.5 hour per week

Salary: Post 1 – Grade SC2 NJC points 3 Actual Salary £16,831 (FTE £24,027)

             Post 2 – Grade SC2 NJC points 3 Actual Salary £18,234 (FTE £24,027)

Term Time only: 39 weeks per annum

Annual Leave: Taken outside of term time and paid pro-rata throughout the year (no annual leave to be taken during term time)

We are on the lookout for dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to:


  • Provide vital classroom support and contribute to an engaging learning environment.
  • Offer 1:1 assistance to pupils, empowering them to overcome challenges and achieve their best.
  • Support teachers in delivering outstanding lessons and creating positive outcomes.
  • Help maintain a happy and safe playground during break and lunch times.

 

We’re seeking someone who:


  • Brings patience, calmness, and positivity to every situation.
  • Is passionate about helping young people flourish and reach their full potential.
  • Ideally has prior experience working with children and can communicate effectively with both children and adults.
