The Role

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Level 2 SEN Teaching Assistant to join our collaborative academy, which is dedicated to developing our great team, centred around humility and respect. The role will be supporting a small number of SEND pupils for Inclusion Provision in our Eden room, led by our Inclusion Teacher. We are looking for someone who can work across our full age range (2-11) and in particular, someone with experience of/or an interest in working with pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition or other complex communication difficulties. Experience of total communication approaches, Pace and other co-regulation strategies would be an advantage.

At St Peter’s Primary there is a real sense of community between the school, the surrounding area and St Peters Church. A strength of our school is its size: we are a small school with currently 172 children on roll, including a nursery. It means we know all our children and families well and can make sure that we do our best to develop their learning in a happy, safe, secure and values - respecting environment.

In joining St Peters, you will be part of a friendly and welcoming staff team and a supportive community. You will have the opportunity to develop in an environment that has a strong focus on CPD, whatever career stage you are at. As a Church of England school, you will be happy to support the Anglican ethos through our school values.

Tours of the school are welcome. To arrange a tour please contact spe.admin@stcmat.org or call 01752 667724.
