Due to an increase in pupil numbers and need, we have an opportunity for an inclusion teacher to join our friendly and highly committed staff team. Having recently been graded as Good by Ofsted, we are a thriving school which is determined to support all our children and community to flourish. If you want to be part of a team which puts children and the community at the heart of all that we do, we would love to hear from you.
This is a new and exciting role to enhance the already strong inclusion practice at our school. The successful candidate will work alongside the SENCo and Family Support Worker to run Eden room- a provision for SEND pupils’ needs to be met within the mainstream environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for SEND to develop a provision which could potentially be cascaded across our trust. Are you an aspirant SENCo or perhaps have experience working in a specialist setting, if so, we encourage you to apply.
Our school is part of a highly supportive trust with a dedication to inclusion. We provide a comprehensive CPD offer as well as support through subject and inclusion networks. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to develop their understanding of SEND leadership.
If you want to make a difference, are happy to go the extra mile and have strong inclusive practice and pedagogical knowledge, we would love to hear from you. Our school serves a diverse catchment including pupils with a high percentage EAL and pupils from under resourced backgrounds. Our pupils show positive attitudes to learning and are very well behaved, demonstrating our school values. St Peter’s really is a wonderful place to work where you will have the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of children and their families.
At St Peter’s Primary there is a real sense of community between the school, the surrounding area and St Peters Church. A strength of our school is its size: we are a small school with currently 162 children on roll, including a nursery. It means we know all our children and families well and can make sure that we do our best to develop their learning in a happy, safe, secure and values - respecting environment.
Tours of the school are welcome and encouraged. To arrange a tour please contact spe.admin@stcmat.org or call 01752 667724.
